Foraging with Cracking Good Food
Join Cracking Good Food for a guided forage where you will learn to safely identify wildly growing edible plants, berries and mushrooms.
Led by an accredited foraging expert and suitable for the whole family, our forages run in Chorlton, Didsbury, Macclesfield, Oldham and Hebden Bridge and provide a great chance to spend time with loved ones, connect with nature and learn some cracking new skills – food doesn’t get more seasonal than this!
Most of our forages last 4 hours but we also have special 6-hour ‘Forage & Cook’ sessions which showcase how to cook with the produce you have foraged.
The income generated from our forages helps to support our work to alleviate hunger and increase food security around Greater Manchester.
Family-friendly events
3-hour guided forage in £30 (Children under 16 and concessions £15)
6-hour guided forage with 3-course foraged meal: £70 (Children under 16 and concessions £35)
Private group foraging trips available
Remember to dress for all weathers and wear suitable footwear for walking on muddy paths.
Please note that not all our foraging events are not suitable for wheelchair users or individuals with mobility issues – whilst the pace is gentle, you need to be comfortable being on your feet and be happy to climb over the occasional stile! Please do get in touch and we will let you know which route is most suitable.
