What will you cook?

  • Malaysian-style Yellow Curry – you’ll make the fragrant curry paste from scratch and learn to balance complex flavours including tamarind, lemongrass and galangal.
  • Nasi Lemak – fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk.
  • Sambal Stir Fry Tempe & Tofu – a delicious stir fry with complex hot, earthy and spicy flavours from the traditional Sambal sauce.

Join our Cooking Leader Ana for a tasty introduction to the complex and vibrant world of Malaysian Cuisine, which draws influence from Thai, Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern and of course traditional Malay cooking and ingredients. About Ana

How are you involved in the CGF work?

I’m very much committed to working with CGF and cant wait to get started on delivering my Malaysian Cookery School class. I will also be supporting their mission to fight for food security in the community and helping to continue building the catering services.

What are your food inspirations?

To inspire the larger community to eat less processed and convenience foods, prepare home-cooked food using simple ingredients and try to create awareness of how important cooking knowledge is.

What do you do in your spare time?

I like watching comedy, reading and connecting with my family members and close friends who are mainly in Malaysia.
