This March, we’ll be sharing the secrets of delicious sweet buns, so you’ll have plenty of time to perfect them before Easter!
Rob will help you get the perfect consistency for your enriched starter dough, then show you how to adapt this for two recipes: hot cross buns and Chelsea buns. Your hot cross buns will be crossed with pastry and glazed with a delicious mix made from apricot jam. Your Chelsea buns will be filled with soaked dried fruit, orange rind, mixed spice, brown sugar and cinnamon – all those mouthwatering flavours that bring these quintessential 18th-century English buns to life.

For those with a savoury tooth, Rob will be teaching you how to make a mouth-watering focaccia and hot & cold drinks included.
This session is suitable for all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to those wishing to further develop their skills. All ingredients are bought locally at Unicorn Co-operative Grocery and other local independent shops.
