A GUJARATI

FEAST

Bhojan sathe aavo! Join us for a feast!

Enjoy a fundraising evening of authentic Gujarati food, with take home lunch for the next day included!

On Sunday 19 May we are taking over Disorder MCR to raise funds to support our mission to create a fairer food system across Greater Manchester and to directly help Barnabus who provide a lifeline to the homeless in Manchester. For every ticket sold we will provide a nourishing hot meal to support the Barnabus community. We’re delighted to be partnering with Disorder for the evening.

Kala – Cooking Lead

About Kala

Our Cooking Lead for the evening is Kala, whose love for food is woven into her DNA. Raised in a household pulsating with the aromas of spices and the clink of utensils. It was her mother who, with skilled hands and a generous heart, imparted the artistry of cooking and the joy of sharing meals.

Each dish she prepares is infused with love and tradition, a testament to the culinary heritage passed down through generations. With every bite, she pays homage to her roots and celebrates the flavours that define her identity.

Kala is steadfast in her belief that food has the power to nourish not only the body but also the soul. She leaves a lasting impression on all who have the privilege of tasting her creations and sharing in her joyous feasts.

“Since joining CGF in early 2019, my journey has been nothing short of fulfilling and transformative. Passion has been the driving force behind my involvement, as I wholeheartedly believe in the organisation’s mission to make a positive impact on communities through their various initiatives.”
