Fantastic! Particularly community cooking where I feel a real sense of purpose.

It’s been inspiring learning from great chefs, I’ve met some lively, interesting people.

Volunteering for Cracking Good Food sessions are fun; informative. It’s a great organisation, which promaotes the benefits of cooking wholesome food/meals. They care about sustainability and buy fresh locally sourced ingredients. There are lots of opportunities to volunteer for sessions at various locations.

Cracking Good Food is supported by over 100 volunteers, without whom we would not be able to deliver our Covid Emergency Food Response or our extensive programme of cookery classes, courses, workshops and demos in better times.

These are just a few reasons why people from across Greater Manchester volunteer with us and many on a regular basis! Do you feel the same?

Are you interested in meeting new people?

Want to learn new recipes?

Want to strengthen employment opportunities?

Want to broaden your current cooking skills?

Interested in sustainability and ethical issues around food supply and production?

Have we whetted your appetite?

Then email info@crackinggoodfood.org to join our Cracking Good Team of volunteers.

We also offer corporate/group volunteering opportunities – find out more here.

Meet some of our regular volunteers!

Cracking The Crisis

Scroll down to see some of our wonderful volunteers who’ve supported us through our Covid-19 ‘Cracking the Crisis’ Emergency Food response by chopping, cooking, portioning-out, labelling and delivering over 68 thousand nutritious meals to community groups across Greater Manchester who support people experiencing social isolation, poverty, homelessness and hunger.

Thank you all SO much.

The need is still out there though, so please do contact info@crackinggoodfood.org if you can join us too! Thank you.
