Talking Kitchen Kit Call Out on AllFM

Our New Growing Corner

The ever-supportive folks at Apex Self Storage UK Hulme have designated us a small corner of car park to put in a growing and composting corner. Not only will this mean we can easily compost any food waste from our cooking activities, but also that we can grow some fresh herbs and salad items to include in our community cooking sessions!

We have been very lucky to have had further support from Microsoft, Recycle for Greater Manchester , Hakim Group, Willmott Dixon Construction, Wright Landscapes and Hive Land and Planning to carry out the set-up of this project. Thank you so much to all involved for your hard work, especially in the baking hot weather. We are also particularly grateful to our colleague Dave who worked especially hard constructing the beds for this project – thank you Dave!

We are so excited to have a little growing space of our own!
