My research team did a Cracking Good Food online cook-along for our year-end wind-up. It was loads of fun! It was the perfect event for us because we’re scattered around the country and Europe, and by now we’ve all had enough of zoom pub quizzes. The cooking lead, Sam, was great. She taught us to make dumplings, dipping sauces, and a noodle dish (yakisoba). The recipes had vegetarian and vegan options, and easy substitutes were listed for hard-to-find ingredients. The zoom format worked really well. Sam had one camera on her and a second camera overhead focused on the cooking surface so we could see what she was doing. We all had a blast and learned a lot — and it feels good to know we’re supporting the important work that CGF does. Thanks Sam and CGF!

- We can adapt the choices to incorporate dietary requirements e.g. vegetarian/vegan/gluten free. please notify us of requirements at booking.
- Participants cover the costs of ingredients and equipment, except for Spice up your online Cooking, whereby CGF purchase and send a spice sample for the dish
- There will be opportunity to ask questions about how best to reduce
food waste and improve nutritional health. - We would suggest the session starts at 11am, 3pm, 5pmor 7pm but please let us know if a different time would be more convenient.
- We ask for prompt arrival, however, the Kitchen Door will open 15mins before the session for participants to greet each other.
- Zoom is our preferred platform, although we would consider a different platform which we would discuss beforehand.
The price covers our costs for management and delivery of the session – as a
non-profit, we have kept the costs as low as possible.
