Cracking Good Food Coronavirus Appeal

We are facing the greatest public health and economic emergency in living memory.
Cracking Good Food has launched a fundraising appeal, to support vulnerable communities
impacted by the global coronavirus crisis.

Your donation will directly support our nonprofit work in delivering free cooked meals to
people struggling with poverty, redundancy and/or self-isolation.

We cannot do this work without your support. Together we can get through this.
Thank you for your help.

To date our food has been kindly donated by @unicorngrocery, restaurants (the Font & Volta), individuals, allotments and Fareshare Gtr Mcr. Thank you all.

Our cooks are now without a job, so are being paid a lower rate to cook this food, turning it into nutritious meals, whilst helping to keep their heads above water too. The food is then distributed to the many communities in need across Manchester.

To date, we’ve delivered meals directly to families, individuals and organisations working to alleviate food poverty in Openshaw, Longsight, OldMoat, Mersey Bank Estate, Chorlton Park, Miles Platting the Cheetham Hill.

Donations to our Appeal have enabled us to cover these costs to date. We are busy writing numerous emergency funding bids of course, but we have received nothing to date, so your support is vital for us to continue this work.

We are delivering meals to many of the communities and hostels with whom we already work, and are attempting to respond to the many urgent requests for food that are flooding in.

The need is so great. And it’s getting greater by the day.

If you can volunteer to help distribute meals or cook please contact info@crackinggoodfood.org

If you’re a community in need of support or would like to be added to our Newsletter please contact kate@crackinggoodfood.org

If you can help write funding bids or wish to develop a greater response network, please contact adele@crackinggoodfood.org

Thank you. Together we can do this.
